Our house Villa Anna is about 15 minutes, by foot, away from the center of the village Siusi.
Siusi is a fraction of the municipality of Castelrotto, 1004 m above sea level.

The village is well known because it lies at the foot of the Alpe di Siusi, which is the largest mountain plateau in Europe.
In the center of the village there are many cafes, restaurants , shops and supermarkets .
Siusi is a good starting point for hiking and offers impressive views over the Valle d’Isarco (http://www.suedtirol3d.it/). At the foot of the Sciliar , a bit above Siusi , is the ruin of the castle “Hauenstein” (1,191 m above sea level) .
The ruin was the property of the South Tyrolean knight and poet-composer Oswald von Wolkenstein, who lived in the late Middle Ages. An annual horse show is dedicated to the famous knight. (http://www.ovwritt.com/de/der-ritt-2013.html)

Not far from Hauenstein is another well-known ruin , the ruin “Salegg” . (1219 m above sea level) To both ruins leads a great hiking trail through the forest, which you can easily reach starting from our house .
In addition, the same forest path leads to the beautiful Lake of Fiè, which is located in the neighboring village Fiè . The natural pond is a very popular seaside resort and in winter he is proper for ice-skating .
